Are you interested in learning new skills, meeting new people, learning the rules of baseball, and being able to make decisions on the field in a confident manner? Are you 12 years of age or older? Then becoming an umpire just might be for you!! We are now offering Level 1 and Level 2 clinics. If you are over the age of 16 and a first time umpire, you start at Level 2 (bypassing Level 1). If you have any questions please email Darcy Rysz and follow the process noted below to register. You MUST attend all 3 portions/nights of the clinic to obtain your Level. Anybody is welcome to attend (even parents who bring their children could earn extra gas money!!)
Pre-registration required at www.bcbua.ca. Click "Clinic Information", then "Clinic Information and Registration" then find the clinic you want to register for and click on "More Information".
Important: 1st and 2nd year umpires under 16 years of age MUST register for Level 1, otherwise register for Level 2. If this is your 3rd year of umpiring at level 1, register for level 2.
Very Important: When registering be sure to select "cheque" as your method of payment.
You must attend all three sessions. If not, there are clinics in Vernon and Penticton on April 13 and April 20 respectively.
